In 1778 a ship loaded with works of art, purchased by some English aristocrats who had completed the legendary Grand Tour, was seized by the French navy, escorted to Malaga and there that treasure was sold to King Charles III of Spain who destined it for Real Academia de San Fernando in Madrid. For the first time, a selection of those works, drawings, engravings, books and musical scores that until now remained unknown to the general public will return to Italy.
