Everything spoke so vividly Disegni dalla collezione del FRAC Picardie, Amiens

Drawings from the collection of FRAC Picardie, Amiens edited by Jan-Philipp Fruehsorge

Castel Sismondo, Fellini Museum, Ala di Isotta

For the first time this exhibition presents to the Italian public a selection of twenty-four artists from the most prestigious French collection of contemporary drawing, FRAC Picardie of Amiens, which preserves more than 1300 works by 250 international artists. A poetic reflection from 1970 to the present day on the different languages, subjects and grammars of drawing as a journey in itself. All this leads back to the feeling of dizziness felt by the writer Stendhal while, in 1817, he was in Italy engaged in the Grand Tour.

Raymond Pettibon, Pardon, I feel rather sneaking to do it (just do it ! I said). (Th. I confess – Not having the faith. Not me!), 1993.

Robert Morris, Labyrinths: Untitled (Section of a Circular Labyrinth), 1973.
